The loyal heart and soul of the jetty, HYC harbour master Wilhelm Jürgens – whose reputation extended far beyond the club’s boundaries – passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at the end of July whilst on board his motor yacht ‘Olly’.
Enquiries and bookings regarding guest moorings will therefore be handled by treasurer Tina Müller on +49 173 2006060 until further notice.

The HYC is based in the harbour of Horumersiel.
This sheltered, lock-free harbour has direct access to the River Jade and is an ideal starting point for trips to the East Frisian Islands, Heligoland, Wilhelmshaven, the Jade Bay or the Elbe and Weser estuaries.

All berths are equipped with finger jetties, ensuring that boats are easily accessible and can be moored securely. Water and electricity connections are available on the jetty. A toilet block with toilets and showers is located 200 metres away at the adjacent lido, with another toilet block on the opposite side of the harbour.

The centre of the North Sea spa resort of Horumersiel, with its various shops, restaurants, ice-cream parlours, bike hire and boutiques that invite you to browse and stroll, is within easy walking distance… the Friesland-Therme and the Haus des Gastes are located directly behind the dyke.
The Horumersiel lido is situated right next to the jetty. The natural beach is just a few minutes’ walk away.
